Safety is your responsibility.

We understand that starting a new job, receiving a promotion, or taking on new responsibilities can be exciting and challenging. Policy reviews, tests, trainings, certifications, and new rules and processes.

While our company Safety Manual & HazCom Plan is an exhaustive resource of all company safety policies, we wanted to create this simple web page for you to quickly reference those resources while your on the run, as well as to help you remember 9 safety basics, that form the foundation of your day-to-day safety practices.

You are responsible for compliance with all company safety policies. You should reference the company safety manual in any situation where a policy or practice is not understood.

If you are not sure how to proceed safely with a task, you are required to stop work and ask your supervisor for assistance and guidance.

 Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

Each job site has a daily JSA conducted and documented with the team. The JSA identifies known risks for the site and day’s activities and outlines a mitigation for each.

PPE & Uniforms

You are required to wear a high-viz ANSI II upper outer layer and hardhat on all active construction sites. You are provided a company safety vest and hardhat. Other PPE is provided depending on task.

Stop+Work+Authority.jpg

Stop Work Authority

Everyone has the authority to call for a “stop work” when they believe there may be a risk. The Competent Person will assess the situation and determine how to proceed.

Equipment Inspections

Each piece of equipment used must have a daily inspection report submitted. This ensures that we stay on top of preventative maintenance and catch hazards related to operation before they occur.

Weekly Toolbox Talks (TBT’s)

Maintaining a culture of safety requires a safety-first mindset. Part of maintaining that culture is through wearing uniforms and PPE another part is through continuous safety training offered through TBT’s.
